How CVRD Works
From payroll to compliance to benefits. One platform.
Here's how CVRD processes fringe: from the moment payroll runs to the moment dollars land in a carrier account or retirement contribution.

Step by step flow
Five steps. Zero spreadsheets.

- 1Your payroll data comes in. CVRD takes it from there.
- 2Fringe is tracked per employee, per contract, in real time.
- 3Benefits are allocated and distributed automatically.
- 4Employees see every dollar in their Wallet as it happens.
- 5Compliance records are always current and ready to produce.
CVRD does not hold your funds. CVRD is designed around compliance and transparency at every step and you keep your capital with you at all times. Consolidated billing helps support automated carrier direct payments, and you have full visibility to every dollar at every step.

What does onboarding involve, and how long does it take?
Implementations realistically run from about two weeks to eight, and we plan around a 45 to 60 day window. The fastest ones are clients on an API-connected payroll or HRIS with a straightforward carrier lineup. That path moves quickly, and we've done it in two. Timeline mostly comes down to how quickly plan information, payroll access, and carrier connections come together, so we scope that on the first call and give you a date based on your goals rather than a range.
Can we start mid-plan-year or mid-contract, or do we wait for renewal?
You don't have to wait. Compliance and fringe tracking can go live at any point in the year. It doesn't touch your plans, so there's nothing to time it against. Benefits administration can also be assumed mid-year, but open enrollment tends to guide transitions and we'll tell you honestly which one your situation calls for. (Special note on ICHRAs: All individual plans run on a Jan 1 to Dec 31 plan year, CVRD can help you conform to this schedule without major disruption if needed, just ask.)
What does CVRD cost, and what's included?
Pricing is a flat per-employee-per-month rate, with no percentage of premium, so your cost doesn't rise just because your premiums did. What you pay depends on headcount and which pieces you're running: compliance tracking alone sits at the low end, full benefits administration plus ICHRA at the higher. We'll quote you on the first call. Special note: CVRD's fee is never paid out of employee fringe dollars. Administrative costs are a business expense of the contractor and cannot be deducted from the fringe amount owed to employees (29 CFR § 4.172), so our fee sits outside your fringe obligation rather than inside it.
